Our Story
Booming Music was born from a simple idea: create the ultimate Android music player that respects user privacy, looks beautiful, and does not cost a dime.
What started as a personal project has grown into a full-featured player focused on a clean interface, powerful features, and pure music enjoyment. No ads, no trackers, no subscriptions.
Today Booming Music is developed in the open with help from contributors and translators around the world. Every feature is shaped by the community that relies on it, and the goal has stayed the same since day one: a music player that puts listeners first.

Source codeBooming Music is fully open-source and released under the GPL-3.0 license. We believe in transparent development, community collaboration, and keeping our music app accessible to everyone.
Anyone can read the code, report issues, suggest features, or open a pull request. Translations are handled on Weblate, so the app can reach listeners in their own language. This openness is also what keeps Booming Music honest about privacy: there is nothing hidden, and nothing to hide.
